What is Bi ‘American Idol’ Crystal Bowersox Up to Now?

crystal-bowersoxAmerican Idol‘s Crystal Bowersox came out as bisexual in 2014. The Ohio native was competing in the ninth season when Lee DeWyze won.

She has since released two albums, Farmer’s Daughter, a 12-track record released in 2010, includes her song “Holy Toledo,” which she played during an episode of Idol, and then All That for This in 2013.

“I have been bisexual for as long as I can remember,” she said on Good Day L.A. “I just remember being made fun of in junior high for that, and it was something that was shameful. And it really shouldn’t be.”

She said that her coming out has been “overwhelmingly positive.”

“My fans are die-hard and I love them for it. They take me as I am,” she added. “I feel really confident this year and that’s a part of who I am and there’s no sense in keeping it to yourself.”
