Hi, I‘m Lesleanne. I am Bisexual.

I currently live in Toronto, though i was born in Vancouver. I have a small circle of close friends that I spend a lot of time with and I find it hard to meet new people in a large city. I'm hoping to connect with new friends online.

What being bisexual means to me

It is what I am. Nothing more, nothing less.

What I would like the world to know about bisexuals

We are not 'confused', 'fence sitters', 'lying' and/or slutty.

What was your path to a bisexual identity?

It's hard to say but i guess it started when i realized I had a crush on Kate Bush when I was a kid.

What is the toughest thing about being bisexual?

Meeting women who trust me enough to date them. If they aren't bisexual themselves, they think I'll just up and leave for the first cute guy I meet which is untrue.

What is the best thing about being bisexual?

I have way more dating options although currently, I am only interested in dating women.

How have other people in your life reacted to your bisexuality?

Everyone has been very accepting and supportive except for my mother who seems to have 'forgotten' that I told her and expects me to get married and have kids.

What advice do you have for someone who thinks they may be bi or who is in the process of coming out as bi?

Be honest with your family and your friends. Lying to them will not change who you are and it will just make things harder.
