Hi, I‘m Pierre.

I am a middle-aged man who likes people and languages. I like to read and think about social issues and of course about our sexualities.

What being bisexual means to me

I don't identify with the label bisexual, but I have had sexual experiences with both sexes. Women are part of my sexual fantasies but it's men that I am mostly attracted to. I do not fall in love with women but have fallen in love with many men in my life.

What I would like the world to know about bisexuals

I would like for people to know that it is a reality, statistically important even if not very visible. Also there is more to bisexuality than self-identified bisexuals. Bisexual behavior or bisexual fantasies are very widespread independently of the person's self-identification. The label Men Who Have Sex with Men and Women (MSMW) is used for example to describe men who do not identify as bisexual but behave bisexually.
Internationally, MSMW represent a very large group, much larger than the self-identified bisexuals group. The main reason being that same-sex sexuality is illegal in about 80 countries or territories and there are 10 countries where same-sex acts can be punished by death. That is only to mention the legal aspect of the question, the social repression against same-sex sexuality is much broader than that and affects all countries of this planet.
Under these circumstances, when we feel attraction towards both genders, the terrible social stigma against same-sex behavior obviously imposes people everywhere not to come out about their same-sex activities. For many men worldwide the only option is to settle down with a woman and maybe have an underground same-sex sexuality.
