Hi, I‘m Amy. I am Bisexual.

I'm a 22-year-old archaeology student who hopes to one day become a Forensic Archaeologist working with the police force. I'm living in Seattle, and so I love coffee. I love comic books, music, all types of art, and film.

What being bisexual means to me

It gives me a sense of closure. I felt so lost before I figured out a label that fits me, and even though some people don't like labels, I like having a solid place where I feel like I belong. Acknowledging the fact that I am a bisexual helped me to understand a lot of feelings that I have been repressing for a very long time, and I feel so free now that I've accepted myself.

What I would like the world to know about bisexuals

That we're not all sex-crazed!

What is the toughest thing about being bisexual?

I feel hesitant to talk to friends of mine who are a part of the gay community, as I feel like they won't take me seriously.

What is the best thing about being bisexual?

Being open to love who I want to love.

How have other people in your life reacted to your bisexuality?

Only three people know so far! I'm getting there.
