Hi, I‘m Lloyd. I am Bisexual.

I'm a middle-aged guy who responds better to honesty than I ever do to deceit, I'm a journalism major. Like to read, hike. sing, and write. Was a drummer in several different bands. Never been married and have no children. I am a friendly guy with a counselor's heart, and a loving spirit. I like to laugh and have fun!

What being bisexual means to me

It means knowing that love comes in various forms, whether it be a male or female. It means it is an integral part of my makeup.

What I would like the world to know about bisexuals

That we are not weird, perverted, evil, or scary. We are just like anyone else in this world, and our sexuality is only a facet, albeit an important one, of our lives.

What is the toughest thing about being bisexual?

Thinking for a while that I was the only one in my region who felt this way. Also being shunned by a good many of my family members and childhood friends.

What is the best thing about being bisexual?

That I can see beyond gender and realize love is love. I also can feel free to be along and among others who are bi, and know that they feel the same ways I do.

How have other people in your life reacted to your bisexuality?

I have found that most people whom I deal with, once they find this out about me, don't tend to make a huge deal out of it. However, I do have those family members who think I'll "infect" them with my bi-ness. All I can do is just shake my head, laugh, then keep on keeping on.

What advice do you have for someone who thinks they may be bi or who is in the process of coming out as bi?

Find a resource center that can help in realizing who you are as a person.Talk to those who have gone through this journey. And do not fear who you are as a bisexual---it's a great thing indeed. You are not alone, not by a long shot.
