Hi, I‘m Erin. I am Bisexual.

Hi I'm Erin and I live in Scotland. I'm not the most interesting person but anyway I'm bisexual and I have a girlfriend called Callie. I go to cadets every Monday and Wednesday and hope to join the army when I'm out of school. I go to the gym with my girlfriend every Thursday and I have a best friend called Alex who is like my brother. That's about it :)

What being bisexual means to me

Just being me knowing that's okay and enjoying my life with the people I love

What I would like the world to know about bisexuals

I've met very few bi people so just to know that we are a community and we are out there!

What was your path to a bisexual identity?

Ever since nursery I would get crushes on boys and girls as I went up my school years I started to notice it more and see that not everyone did when I was 10 I found out about sexualitys and stuff like that and by 12 I was 100% sure I was bisexual I came out to my friends and family and my girlfriend who is still by my side I lost some friends but I they weren't people meant to be in my life if they couldn't exept me now still bisexual and happy

What is the toughest thing about being bisexual?

People assuming your just confused just gay and afraid to come out or a cheater and that people find it so hard to believe I'm happy in a relationship because they assume I miss dating the other sex

What is the best thing about being bisexual?

I can chat to most people about that hot person in the movie and just getting to be myself and not feeling ashamed of that

How have other people in your life reacted to your bisexuality?

Most people have had a positive reaction saying that changes nothing and they still love me a few people left but it doesn't bother me much now because I can see they weren't people I want in my life anyway

What advice do you have for someone who thinks they may be bi or who is in the process of coming out as bi?

Be confident on who you are don't let anyone tell you you're not and if people want to leave let them you don't need that negativity
