United States

Hi, I‘m Tamara. I am Bisexual.

I live in the Washington DC area. I am a bi poly kinky pagan sex therapist. I have a private practice in Washington DC and Alexandria VA. I live in a big poly family with my husband, his girlfriend, another friend and our kids. I run a poly discussion group. I have been out as bi since I was 16 years old.

What being bisexual means to me

Its about being open to love and having that be less about gender and biological sex.

What I would like the world to know about bisexuals

We exist.

What was your path to a bisexual identity?

I figured it out in high school when I had crushes on people of all genders.

What is the toughest thing about being bisexual?

Being left out of all of the communities and being invisible.

What is the best thing about being bisexual?

So much love.

How have other people in your life reacted to your bisexuality?

Its either been accepted or ignored.

What advice do you have for someone who thinks they may be bi or who is in the process of coming out as bi?

You don't have to be alone. There are more of us out there. If there is no community for you where you are consider making one.
