Hi, I‘m Emma-Louise. I am Bisexual.

I LOVE CATS! I drink a lot of tea and eat a lot of chocolate.

What being bisexual means to me

A label to show that being attracted to both males and females is okay and is a real thing.

What I would like the world to know about bisexuals

We're not greedy or confused or experimenting. This is us. This is who we are. And that's okay.

What was your path to a bisexual identity?

Before I knew bisexuality existed I thought I was a lesbian because I knew I was attracted to girls so I knew I wasn't straight, I then came across bisexuality and it explained what I felt and thought so well. It gave me closure.

What is the toughest thing about being bisexual?

(Being a girl) If you're in a relationship with a female, people will assume you're a lesbian, whereas if you're in a relationship with a male, people will assume you're straight.

What is the best thing about being bisexual?

People are beautiful and gender doesn't get in the way of that.

How have other people in your life reacted to your bisexuality?

Mostly positively but my Mum thinks it's all bullshit.

What advice do you have for someone who thinks they may be bi or who is in the process of coming out as bi?

Don't push yourself into it. Give yourself time. There's no rush and there's so much experience you still have to go through. Keep your chin up and just be proud of who you are without rushing into labelling yourself.
