Hi, I‘m Veronica. I am Bisexual. Hello!!! As you know my name is Veronica!! I love cooking, reading, science and history. Honestly, I'm a full-on nerd, but I am also a fashionista!! I'm a nice, smart, independent woman. I'm just an awesome person with a dazzling personality!
What being bisexual means to meIt means being attracted to both men and women. It means seeing the beauty in both genders, not just one.
What I would like the world to know about bisexualsThat being bisexual isn't a choice and it isn't the same thing as being gay or lesbian. A person can be more attracted, or attracted in a different way, to one gender, and still be attracted to the other. And, both men and women can be bisexual.
What was your path to a bisexual identity?I first told my friends (most of them are bisexual or lesbian, and the ones who aren't are fully supportive). And although I fully embrace being bisexual, the only family that know are my cousin and my mom.
What is the toughest thing about being bisexual? Not having people around you who are attracted to both genders, so they only see the gay or lesbian aspect of attraction. Even though I'm more attracted to guys, I still am very attracted to girls. But, that doesn't mean I'm lesbian, or that I don't have a possibility of ending up with either gender.
What is the best thing about being bisexual?Being able to see the beauty and sexual attractiveness of both genders.
How have other people in your life reacted to your bisexuality? My mom is chill about it. We are currently working on understanding that "pretty" means "hot," but while still saying "pretty" to make her feel more comfortable.
My friends all are supportive--most of them are lesbian or bisexual. My school is very diverse in every aspect, so my schoolmates don't mind either.
What advice do you have for someone who thinks they may be bi or who is in the process of coming out as bi?Think about both genders separately. When you think about each one, what do you feel? If you think about both sexually, do you like it? Picture yourself ending up with both genders. Does it matter if you end up with a guy or a girl?
