New Book Raises More Questions about Amelia Earhart

images-16A new book and some newly discovered film raises more questions about the disappearance of aviatrix Amelia Earhart—who is referred to as bisexual in some biographies.

She was happily married at the time of her death to publicist George Putnam, and had an open marriage. She was good friends with Putnam’s first wife and made sure they broke up amicably before marrying him.

Earhart accomplished the first solo flight across the Atlantic in 1937. Soon after, she disappeared trying to make it across the Pacific Ocean on her way around the world.

Recently, reports resurfaced about Earhart’s “open marriage” and the polyamorous agreement that seemed to be a model for some same-sex unions, according to reports. In the letter, which had been public since her death, she wrote in the pre-nuptial agreement about her “reluctance to marry” and stated:

“I shall not hold you to any midaeval [sic] code of faithfulness, nor shall I consider myself bound to you similarly.

“Please let us not interfere with the other’s work or play, nor let the world see our private joys or disagreements.”

The Paragon Agency based in Orange, Calif. announced a book and newly discovered film of Earhart’s last photo shoot with Albert Bresnik, her official private photographer.

The book is written by author Nicole Swinford and said, “Earhart left in 1937 and so we look back in dismay. If only we had some video documentation like we do today. If only we had the technology and freedom to capture a living moment. We do: a new, never-before-seen film of Amelia Earhart’s last photo shoot.”

The story of Amelia Earhart’s last photo shoot is taken from an unseen film of her last days in California, before she leaves on her last flight.

Just before Earhart prepared to leave on her last flight, a second photo shoot took place. Then, she and her navigator Fred Noonan left and would disappear some 45 days later. This photo shoot takes place at the end of May just before Earhart and Noonan leave for the second time on the Last Flight.

This is not however, the only reveal of the film. Clear and close-up shots of Amelia’s plane shows it looking significantly different than in the pictures taken during her last flight.

“Two things: One, there was indeed a second photo shoot before the second world flight attempt. Two, the plane in the film — the one that Amelia flew from Oakland — significantly changed after she left Miami,” said author Swinford.

The book and film are available at Amelia Earhart’s Last Photo Shoot — with Albert Bresnik — her Photographer By Nicole Swinford.
