Is the B of LGBT the Jan Brady of the Bunch?

Jan BradyOh Jan! Everyone is paying more attention to Marcia, Marcia, Marcia, and cute Cindy with the braids in “The Brady Bunch,” but Jan gets forgotten.

Journalist  Jonathan Capehart of The Washington Post talked about a lecture he was giving at Harvard University where he was asked about the B being forgotten in BLGT media coverage.

That’s where he came up with the great line:

One questioner at Harvard yesterday challenged me on how much the nation has discussed bisexual issues. Her point was valid. If the L, G and B were the “Brady Bunch” girls, B would totally be Jan.

He noted that people in the audience didn’t know that bisexuals had met with the White House, saying: “I also asked the audience how many of them knew that the White House hosted a meeting with bisexual activists in 2013. Only a few hands, including the questioner’s, went up. In fact, she said she was at the meeting.”
