Dublin Gay Theatre Fest Features ‘By the Bi’

The International  Dublin Gay Theatre Festival will be featuring a bisexual-themed play this year, according to a volunteer for the theater company who contacted Bisexual.org.

The hour-long play is called By the Bi and it’s by Caroline Downs and Morgan Barbour and performed by the Blazing Change players. It will be performed from May 4 through May 9 in Dublin, Ireland.

The showcase has 17 vignettes mixing modern dance and spoken word. ‘By the Bi’ unpacks how society’s isolate of any sort of bisexual culture perpetuating bisexual stereotypes of being greedy, sluts, and confused.

‘By the Bi’ shines a light on the other side of this ‘greed’- suicide, domestic violence, sexual assault, and rape that out bisexual young adults face as reality, according to the creators. This unforgettable story with an invaluable cause, weaves together beautiful music, dance, and spoken word. Join us in shattering the bisexual silence.
