A Wanton Pairing of #Drarry Was Just an April Fool’s Joke

TomFeltonIs Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy in a bisexual love affair?

Of course we know Harry has hetero leanings, but even the Harry Potter creator J.K. Rowling wrote that Harry was “rapidly becoming obsessed with Draco Malfoy” in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

So, social media was abuzz when actor Tom Felton, who played Harry’s longtime foe Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter series, posted a shirtless picture of himself and co-star Daniel Radcliffe (who played Harry Potter) lying together.

Felton posted the Photoshopped picture to Instagram on April Fools’ Day with the caption reading: “May as well just say it. We’re together now x #drarry.”

#Drarry of course is the combination of their character names, Draco and Harry, and that is often used in online fan fiction that pairs the two young wizards are together in a romantic relationship, just like they did with Spock and Captain Kirk.

The fans knew it was a prank, and appreciated the nod that Felton gave to the fans.
